- I'm in the process of getting my Genetics/Cell Biology degree, so there may be school-related whining during the term.

Parrots are such incredible little things. I take mine so seriously that I'm well on my way to becoming a crazy bird lady.

Crazy bird ladies are better than Crazy Cat Ladies. I love Manu (my blue-front Amazon) so much. <3 But then, I was raised with birds. It's so funny to me when people are like "you have a bird? :O"

A blue front amazon!!! That's pretty much my dream bird (after a Toco Toucan, but that's a long story). I've worked with a lot of them at a local bird rescue shelter and they're the most amazing species ever.

I do like cats too, though x3 However due to family allergies, I need to hold off on cat-hoarding until I move out.

<3 He's such a sweetheart, I adore him. He went through some stress a couple years ago when my Grandma was dying, and now he's in the bad habit of over-preening his chest feathers. He doesn't PLUCK, he just gets bored and chews the feathers off. I have to remember to mist him frequently, so he won't chew them. -.-

I love cats, but, I am allergic to them myself. We have dogs instead.
